ABOUT

MISSION

98Weeks Research Project is an artists organization founded by Marwa Arsanios and Mirene Arsanios in 2007. It is conceived as a research project that shifts its attention to a new topic every 98 weeks. Combining theory and practice, 98Weeks understands research as an open-ended activity, involving collaboration and an inter-disciplinary approach to art marking. 98Weeks’ projects take multiple forms such as workshops, talks, screenings, seminars, reading groups, publications and exhibitions.

From 2009- 2014, 98Weeks opened a project space in Mar Mkayel Nahr that developed into an open platform for local and international artists to present, show and discuss their works. It hosted an archive on 98Research, local and regional historical and contemporary publications and artist books.

Due to gentrification the Project Space was unexpectedly lost in October 2014. 98weeks is now reflecting and restructuring. Programming is still taking place at alternate venues. Please stay tuned whats coming next.
