From 2009 - 2014, 98weeks opened the Project Space (50 sq meter storefront distributed over two floors) in Mar Mikael Nahr. It was developed into an open platform for local and international artists to present, show and discuss their works. The open platform encouraged artists to present experimental work, work in progress, launch a project, or present ideas to the public in a conversational setting while allowing for collaborations with other organizations, curators or artists to take place.
The Curator in Residence program was launched in the Project Space in 2014 in order to tighten the curatorial focuses in the open platform while at same time opening up the space for shorter term research ideas that run in parallel with 98research.
98weeks archive was formed primarily from the research and from project space presentations. Contributions have also come from the local and international artist community. The archive includes: artist books, historical magazines, contemporary press publications.
